Standing in a dead-end street on the road to the Sara Hatun Mosque in the Harput district, this two-storey building has a mosque on its upper floor and a tomb on its lower floor. Although the construction inscription giving the date 678 (1279) is located at the mosque entrance, the relationship between the tomb and the mosque shows that the two structures were built at the same time. The six-line Arabic inscription above the mosque's entrance door reads: 1- Indeed, the mosques of God are maintained only by those who believe in God 2- and the Last Day, and who establish prayer and give alms 3- and fear none but God; it may be that they will be among the rightly guided.
