The Khule Monastery was established around the Church of Surp Kevork. The church, a domed building on a cross-in-square plan with a clerestory-windowed narthex extending to the west and carried by engaged piers and monolithic columns, was rebuilt in 1301 and renovated together with its narthex in 1615.
