The Alaoda Cave was most likely built around the same time as the Alahan Monastery and was a monastery linked to it. To reach the Alaoda Church on the slope of a steep valley, you first need to find the signpost on the Mut-Karaman highway. From there, you follow a steep path of about 500 metres, reaching first the valley where the church stands and then the cave that houses it. There are spaces carved into the rock on both slopes of the valley. Overlooking the Goksu Valley from above, the Alaoda Church has a mosaic floor and walls adorned with frescoes.
