Built in the Ottoman architectural style of the 18th and 19th centuries, the bridge uses a rubble-fill core faced with cut stone and is about 4 metres wide. Contrary to its original form, concrete has since been poured over it. It is a parapeted bridge with two arches; the round-arched openings differ in size from one another. To support the bridge, a rounded, tiered support element about 5.5 to 6 metres high, narrowing toward the top, was built against the central pier on the northern side.
