Editor's Note
The mosque, which stands about 700 metres from Palu Castle, was according to legend built where an arrow shot from the castle fell. It belongs to the complex that Cemsit Bey, who played a major role in bringing Palu into Ottoman lands, had built in his own name in the 1500s, and is entered through a garden enclosed by a stone wall. Built of black cut stone in the typical Ottoman architectural style, the mosque has a marble, arched entrance doorway. Beside this door is an inscription whose lettering has been set upside down.
