Editor's Note
Although there is no inscription showing the date on which the school was built, various sources give different dates. The work titled "City, Town and Village Primary Schools Affiliated with the General Directorate of Primary Education and Some Information About These Schools" states that the 27 August Primary School (the Industrial School) was opened in 1904. The Afyonkarahisar Provincial Register, however, reports that the Industrial School began teaching before 1911.
