Editor's Note
It lies within the Asri Cemetery in Afyonkarahisar province. It was built in 1935 in memory of Air First Lieutenant Pilot Cemaleddin and Reşit Bahaeddin, who fell as martyrs when their aircraft was shot down after engaging Greek pilots during a reconnaissance flight on 24 July 1922, together with 16 soldiers who later fell as martyrs. It was restored and reopened to visitors in 1993.
