Zindancık bears similarities, though not exactly, to Taşkule, a Persian tomb located on the road to Phokaia (Foça). Taşkule is a group of tombs carved into a natural rock. Zindancık, on the other hand, consists of a 'Dark Chamber' whose door faces north, surrounded by steps, wells, niches and votive pits, along with rock sarcophagi scattered about and rock formations that have been carved and quarried for material. Zindancık is also notable for its other remains. Right beside the dark chamber are two different levels reached by steps.
