The site lies in Karandere neighbourhood, Şereflikoçhisar district, Ankara province, on parcels 20-31 of land block 245 and parcels 1-5, 17-18, 21, 25-26 of block 252, in the Hamza Kuyusu, Gök Yer and Çatal Ağıl localities, in an open area west of the village and northeast of the salt lake. The site was registered as a "Third-Degree Archaeological Site" by decision no. 647 of the Ankara Regional Council for the Protection of Cultural Property, dated 30 October 2020.
