It stands beside the railway station building in Yıldırım Village, in the Sinanpaşa district of Afyonkarahisar. This village was formerly called Küçükköy but took the name "Yıldırım" after Yıldırım Kemal. A cavalry first lieutenant, Kemal served with the 57th Division in the battles of Denizli, Çal, Afyon and Sakarya, where he distinguished himself with great service.
