The exact construction date of the Old Mosque of Kışlak Village is unknown. A registered cultural property in the Demirci district of Manisa province, the mosque is highly significant for the distinctive style of its prayer-hall walls, which were the work of local craftsmen. With the exception of decoration in the women's gallery that was clearly added later, the painted ornamentation in the building was applied in natural plant-based pigments on plaster, and each piece survives in its original state. The wall paintings, in composition, style and technique, are examples that carry on the tradition of miniature painting.
