The Amenapırgiç Monastery, or hermitage, lies to the east of the Bahçesaray district, above the village of Acı Hanis, at the end of a small valley that opens onto the Altındere Valley and continues, via the Nar Pass, toward Çatak, at an altitude of 2,100 metres.
