The Bekse Church is located in the Şahinli hamlet of Dere village in the Sason district of Batman province, and today it lies beneath a house. The church is a single-nave structure consisting of a naos and an apse. Entry is through a ruined narthex on the south wall, and cross motifs incised into the narthex walls can be seen. The rectangular naos, with its niches and a loophole window in the west wall, connects to the apse through a pointed-arched passage; the building is vaulted, and its exterior is constructed of stone and gypsum mortar.
