The Yukarı Umurlu Village Cistern lies in a rocky area 600 m southwest of the village of Yukarı Umurlu in the Sason district of Batman province. With a narrow mouth and a cylindrical body, the cistern was made by carving into the bedrock and widens toward the base. Its mouth is 0.70 m in diameter and its present depth is 1.60 m, with the interior filled with rubble stone and earth. The cistern is no longer in use today and has suffered damage. 1
