Editor's Note
It lies 4 km northeast of the Baykan district center, beside the Bitlis-Baykan highway, over the Bitlis Stream. According to mortar analysis, it was built in the Seljuk period. It is one of the single-slope bridges. The six-arched bridge runs east to west and measures 74.50 by 4.50 m. Set on sloping ground, the bridge is built of two-colored cut stone. Its piers are of differing dimensions. On the badly ruined bridge, the pointed arches of the first two spans are intact. The piers have a rectangular cross-section, and those over the stream rest directly on the rock.
