Editor's Note
The Sheikh Osman Tomb stands on a hilltop at the northeast corner of the tomb of Veysel Karani in the town of Ziyaret in the Baykan district. Running east to west, the rectangular-plan structure is built of Ahlat stone. Of its two sections, the eastern one has a square plan and is covered by a pendentive-transition dome; this part is used as a masjid. The section west of the masjid has a rectangular form running north to south and is covered by a vault. This space is itself divided into two parts.
