Editor's Note
The building has no inscription. Ibrahim Hakki Konyali records that the madrasa was built in 1909-10 (AH 1327) by Kadizade Ibrahim Efendi on the site of an old 13th-century madrasa that had collapsed. Sold by the Special Provincial Administration during the Republican era, the madrasa was bought by the Kadiogullari family. At the time Konyali studied it, it was being used as a house. Source: Zekai Erdal, Aksaray'da Turk Devri Mimarisi, doctoral thesis. Long left derelict, the madrasa was purchased by the Aksaray Municipality and is being restored in keeping with its original form.
