The Ceper Han is a caravanserai (han) located on the Diyarbakir-Bingol road, about 5 km north of the Lice junction, on the left side of the road in the village of Ceper. The han was built at the foot of a small hill on slightly sloping ground. It is said to date from the time of Murad IV. It holds a strategic position on the Diyarbakir-Bingol and probably the Diyarbakir-Erzurum route. Robin Wimmel notes that, owing to its layout and architectural features, the building can be dated to the 17th century, and especially to the reign of Murad IV.
