Editor's Note
It was built by the local people in 1921. During construction, stones left over from the ruins of Osmaniye, known as the upper town, were also reused. A minaret was added to the mosque in 1953, and in 1973 the mosque was enlarged by adding a 100-square-meter extension to its east side.
