It is located within the boundaries of Bahçelievler Quarter, Maden district, Elazığ province. Construction of the railway began in 1932, and on 27 July 1935 it was completed, and the Maden Station Building was opened with an enthusiastic official ceremony. The reason it took so long was the difficulty of the geographical conditions between Lake Hazar and the center of Maden district. This section was created by building dozens of railway bridges and tunnels. The main reason for struggling against the difficult geographical conditions was the desire to ensure the transport of copper extracted from the district.
