According to its inscription set in the very middle of the south facade, the Tirem Mosque was built in 1894. As understood from the endowment records held in the archive of the General Directorate of Foundations, its founder was Hacı Hasan Efendi son of El-Hac Ali Ağa. Originally built as a masjid, the structure was converted into a mosque at the request of the neighborhood's residents in line with the endowment deed of 24 October 1895. In terms of its architectural plan, the mosque consists of three aisles running north-south, perpendicular to the mihrab. These three aisles are divided by four fluted concrete columns arranged in two rows.
