The Keşlik Rock Settlement consists of roughly 90–100 masonry houses. The village was founded at the foot of the "Karatepe" slopes rising to its north. The Kestel locality just behind the village features a threefold rock formation created by natural and historic cliffs. In this area there are rock churches with and without frescoes, rock caves, shelters, fairy chimneys, and underground cities. Today these structures are mostly used by the villagers as stables and dovecotes.
