Editor's Note
This church is single-aisled with a single apse and is covered by a barrel vault. The Hagia Barbara Church, one of the important churches in the valley, has been divided in two by its vaults. The frescoes inside the church show numerous depictions of saints. Scenes drawn from the Gospel are featured here, including the Annunciation of Christ's birth, the Feast, the proof of the Virgin Mary's virginity, the Virgin Mary's journey to Bethlehem with Joseph and the Nativity scenes, the Seven Sleepers, and the Deesis. In addition, depictions of saints are painted in various parts of the church.
