Seferihisar is a municipality and district of İzmir Province, bordering Urla to the west, Menderes to the east, Güzelbahçe to the north and the Aegean Sea to the south and west. Its town center sits slightly inland, with the urban area extending toward the sea, and the neighborhood of Sığacık has its own port and is known as a tourism resort. The district's economy is largely based on agriculture, notably tangerines, and increasingly on tourism. The ancient city of Teos lies within Seferihisar.
