Klazomenai (Clazomenae) was one of the twelve cities of ancient Ionia, situated on the south coast of the Gulf of Smyrna and a member of the Ionian League. It was one of the first cities to issue silver coinage. Its ruins lie near the modern town of Urla in İzmir Province.
