Because the land registers and a man named Sheikh Mehmet Rebiülahir, appointed to this mosque in the Hijri year 1141 (1729 CE), are mentioned, the mosque is thought to have been built before that date. Having undergone repairs in various periods, it has largely lost its original appearance. 1
