In the Aydin Provincial Yearbooks the building is referred to as the 'Yeniciftlik Village Mosque' from AH 1311 (1893) to AH 1314 (1896), and as the 'Osmaniye Mosque in Yeniciftlik Village' from AH 1314 (1896) onward. According to its three-line marble inscription in naskh script, set in a crescent shape above the entrance, the building was constructed in AH 1306 / AD 1888, and its founder was Sultan Abdulhamid II.
