The fountain is set in a rectangular niche, with a further square niche in its upper-middle section. The top of the fountain forms a triangular pediment. The most striking feature of this fountain, which uses reused material, is the cross relief set within a rhombus beneath the square niche. This cross has survived to the present day without being defaced. The structure still serves its function today.
