Editor's Note
It now lies within the grounds of the Gendarmerie Battalion, with its roof collapsed. Built of stone and brick, the structure is rectangular in plan and rises two storeys above a basement. On the south facade, above the entrance, the date appears as '323' (AD 1905-1906). Tahir Pasha came to Aydin as provincial marshal and governor in 1837 and left in 1838.
