Because it stood in the city center, after the Taris building was moved out of town, Aydin Municipality restored it together with its garden and landscaped the surroundings. When the work was completed, it opened as a park named after former mayor Nevzat Bicer. The registered historic building now serves as a wedding and conference hall and a cafe-restaurant.
