Editor's Note
Single-storey, the building was completed in 1928. It served as a middle school until Aydin High School was established in 1948, and then as the high school's building from 1948 until 2017. Above the main entrance, an Ottoman Turkish inscription reads 'Aydin Republic School.' For a time the writer Sabahattin Ali taught German here.
