Editor's Note
The construction date of the mosque is unknown, and in its present state it appears to have entirely lost its true fabric. The presence of the name Tapduk Emre in the genealogical inscription at the Balım Sultan Tomb in the western part of the district, together with the record of Yunus Emre at the dervish lodge (zaviye), suggests that the person who commissioned this mosque may have been Yunus Emre.
