It was commissioned by Kara Hasan Bey, son of Aydınoğlu İbrahim Bahadır Bey. Its minaret, shaped like an ear of corn, is striking. Its adjacent madrasa has not survived to the present day. See Erol Şaşmaz, 'Kara Hasan Mosque.'
