Editor's Note
Since the name 'Alamadan' is not recognised, it is thought that it may have arisen from the gradual change in the pronunciation of the name Alaeddin, and it has been suggested that the tomb may belong to Sheikh Alaeddin, who has a small mosque and a fountain in Tire. See Prof. Dr. Hakkı Önkal, 'The Tombs of Tire.'
