Adjoining the southern half of the Sacred Agora on its west side, this building is one of the largest building complexes at Magnesia. Of the stoas surrounding it on four sides, eight columns of the northern one were brought to light standing beneath 4 meters of fill. At the center of the area, west of a space standing on arched piers running east-west, are buildings not yet excavated, which are thought to have possibly been the Popular Assembly, the City Council, and the Council of Elders of Magnesia. The stoa, where inscriptions supporting this assumption were found, is therefore unlikely to have been a state agora.
