Editor's Note
Although administratively within the Balatçık neighborhood today, the cemetery actually belongs to the Kızılcapınar neighborhood, home to the Tahtacı Alevis. In the 1950s, the old settlement of Kızılcapınar near the cemetery was moved south, closer to the Aydın-İzmir highway, and after this period the administrative boundaries changed. Within the cemetery are two walled tombs, in each of which gravestones with Ottoman Turkish inscriptions survive intact.
