Editor's Note
It was built in the İmaret neighborhood, northwest of the Nasreddin Hoca Cemetery and north of the Hasan Paşa Mosque, over the Akşehir Stream (Tekke Deresi). In some publications it is called the 'İmaret Bridge' because of its proximity to the Hasan Paşa İmaret. There is no inscription recording the bridge's construction date. Based on its material and location, T. Samur dates it to the late 13th or early 14th century, while H. Karpuz, because of the nearby Hasan Paşa İmaret (AH 916 / AD 1510-11), dates it to the 16th century (SAMUR, 1996: 161; KARPUZ, 2009: 1304).
