Editor's Note
It is a small mosque set amid greenery, in the shade of century-old plane trees at Hıdırlık, the finest recreation spot of Akşehir and its surroundings. It once had an annexed graveyard and dervish lodge (zaviye), which no longer exist. During landscaping work in 1940, the foundations of the lodge came to light. The square-plan mosque is covered by a blind dome. The mosque is built of rubble stone, with brick used in the dome. As the building has no inscription, nothing is known about its date or founder. Its name appears in foundation records from the reign of Mehmed the Conqueror. It is a 13th-century work.
