Editor's Note
It lies within the complex of the Sahip Ata Medrese. This is the tomb of Mustafa Türabi, one of the famous scholars Akşehir produced in the 16th century. It is popularly known by various names: Kazan Dede, Kayıhan Baba, Turhan Baba, and Türaban Baba. It was restored in 2007. Its cubic body, built of rubble stone, is topped by a dome resting on an octagonal drum. The decoration consists of two ornamental bands of stamped floral patterns. The building bears no inscription. Stylistically it is dated to the Ottoman period, around the 16th century.
