Editor's Note
It is in the Anıt neighborhood and takes its name from the large plane tree in front of it. The small mosque that once stood here, built by Seyyid Necmeddin, son of Seyyid Mahmut Hayrani, was demolished and this mosque was built in its place. It appears in the foundation register dated AH 992 / AD 1584, compiled during the reign of Sultan Murad III.
