Yervandashat is an archaeological site in Iğdır Province. One of the historical capitals of Armenia, it was founded by King Yervand IV in the last quarter of the 3rd century BC as the last capital of the Orontid Kingdom, on the left bank of the Araxes River at its confluence with the Akhurian River.
