It stands on Hamam Street in the Çimenli neighborhood. Because it was built on high ground, it came to be known as the Upper Bath (Yukarı Hamam). As it was built by the Armenian community, locals also call it the Gâvur Hamamı (Infidel's Bath). With no inscription, its exact date of construction is unknown. It is said to have been built in the late 19th century by Mığırdıç Kalfa, who also built the Middle Bath (Orta Hamam).
