Editor's Note
It stands at the junction of 1043rd Street and 1005th Street in the Musalla neighbourhood, within the plot of block 5230, parcel 8. Although the book İzmir Inventory of Immovable Cultural Assets lists it as block 399, parcel 1, a title search returns the warning "This property has been deactivated." The former names of the streets where the fountain stands were Akoğlan Street and Kabadayı Street. Built in AH 1255 (1839-1840) by Kubadilli (?) Mehmed Ağa, son of Mustafazâde of the Kadıoğlu family among the Kızılhisar émigrés, the fountain has a square plan with rounded corners and is domed.
