Editor's Note
It was built in 1286-87 by Sadeddin İsa in honor of Seyfuddin Emir Balaban. The crypt (cenazelik) section of the two-story tomb is square in plan and covered by a barrel vault. Above the square-plan crypt, the second story of the tomb is octagonal; the structure has a square plan with multiple bodies, an inner dome and an outer polygonal conical cap. Among the people it is known by the names "Kümbet," "Şeyh Bedreddin Tomb" and "Sâdeddin İsa Tomb."
