Located on Pir Hüseyin Bey Avenue in the Yukarı Mahalle quarter of the Sarayönü district of Konya Province, the monument - also known as the Grand Mosque - is owned by the General Directorate of Foundations and was registered and placed under protection by the Konya Council for the Conservation of Cultural and Natural Heritage on 23 September 1992. Having undergone many repairs, the mosque was built in AH 811 (AD 1408).
