Editor's Note
It stands at the Mezikler locality of Takmak Village and was registered as a monumental tree by decision no. 4950 of the İzmir 2nd Regional Council for the Conservation of Cultural and Natural Heritage, dated 13 February 2009. The state-owned plot covers an area of 5,400 m². A report dated 31 December 2008, attached to letter no. 08 of the Uşak Forestry Directorate dated 2 January 2009, states that "the tree, an oak (valonia oak), is 180 years old, with a trunk diameter of 58 cm at chest height, a crown diameter of 27 m, and a height of 16 m."
