The mosque in the Golbasi neighborhood bears an inscription written in modern letters giving the date 1825 CE. Added by the mosque's former imam, this inscription does not reflect the mosque's history fully or accurately. The material and technique of the Omer Efendi Mosque in Ulubey, moreover, closely resemble those of this mosque. On this basis, it is thought more appropriate to date the building to the late 18th or early 19th century. A fountain in the park to the west of the mosque carries the inscription of an earlier fountain, dated 1199 AH / 1784-85 CE.
