Editor's Note
The Cifte Han, dated to the 16th century by its plan and architectural features, is a building popularly known as the "Borsa Han" (Exchange Inn). It stands on a street along the road leading to the Mardin Gate in Diyarbakir. Although it was originally planned as a double inn, the second section was demolished when a road was opened. The inn, built of black and white stone, is notable for the low-arched porticoes and stone columns surrounding its courtyard.
