The Gonullu Church, built on a square plan with a single apse, stands in the center of Gonullu village in the Gercus district. The church measures 16 by 16 m on an east-west orientation and consists of two naves covered with barrel vaults. The west nave has largely collapsed, and the north and south walls contain niches and round-arched windows. It was built of cut stone, rubble, and gypsum mortar, with an arrow-slit window and a pastophorion chamber to the east of the apse.
