The Hasankeyf South Valley Single-Nave Rock Church lies in the canyon valley about 200 m south of Hasankeyf Castle, in the town centre. Carved into the bedrock, it was built on a near-square rectangular plan measuring 5 × 5.5 m, with a single nave. The church's roof has completely collapsed, and its north and west façade walls were closed off with rubble stone in later periods. The church has suffered erosion and fracturing of the rock.
